The foaming viscosity reducer FCS-3J is suitable for reservoirs with extremely high salinity (over 210,000 mg/L) and is used in nitrogen foam-enhanced cold production for viscosity reduction, oil production increase, and enhanced oil recovery. Using nitrogen foam's excellent viscosity reduction, profile control, and energy enhancement properties, it improves injection profiles, plugs large flow channels, temporarily diverts flow, increases sweep volume, reduces residual oil saturation, and enhances oil washing efficiency.
This product is particularly suitable for reservoirs with high oil viscosity, strong heterogeneity, insufficient energy, flow channels, low-water-cut heavy oil reservoirs, and reservoirs with edge and bottom water.

Advantages of using drilling additives:
1. Wellbore Stability and Pressure Control (The Most Critical Advantage)
This is the primary reason drilling fluids exist. Without them, most wells would be impossible to drill safely.
Prevents Well Collapse: The fluid column exerts hydrostatic pressure on the walls of the wellbore, counteracting the natural pressures of the formation rock and preventing it from collapsing into the well.
Controls Formation Pressure: Additives like barite (a heavy mineral) are used to increase the density (weight) of the fluid.              This heavy fluid column creates enough pressure to prevent high-pressure oil, gas, or water zones from unexpectedly flowing into the wellbore, which can cause a dangerous blowout.
2. Efficient Removal of Drill Cuttings
Cleans the Hole: As the drill bit grinds rock into cuttings, the circulating drilling fluid carries these solid particles up the annular space between the drill pipe and the wellbore to the surface.
Prevents Accumulation:Efficient removal prevents cuttings from accumulating around the drill bit and drill string, which can cause the pipe to get stuck (a "packed-off" hole) and slow drilling progress.
3.  Cooling and Lubrication
Cools the Drill Bit:The friction of drilling generates immense heat.              The circulating fluid absorbs this heat, cooling and protecting the expensive drill bit and downhole tools from premature failure.
Reduces Friction:Lubricating additives reduce torque and drag between the drill string and the wellbore.              This allows for drilling longer, more complex wells (especially horizontal ones), reduces the risk of getting stuck, and extends the life of the equipment.
4.  Formation of a Filter Cake
Protects Permeable Formations: Special additives form a thin, low-permeability filter cake on the walls of the wellbore when it passes through porous rock. 
Minimizes Fluid Loss: Prevents the liquid part of the drilling fluid from invading and damaging the valuable reservoir formation (which could reduce its ability to produce oil/gas later).
Strengthens the Wellbore:Acts as a lining, further stabilizing the wellbore.

5.  Source of Geological Formation Evaluation: The cutting brought to the surface by the fluid are sampled and analyzed by geologists and mud loggers.    This provides critical real-time information about the rock types, hydrocarbon shows, and other geological features being drilled, helping to guide the drilling operation and evaluate the economic potential of the reservoir.
6.  Supports and Enhances Drilling Performance
Optimized Rate of Penetration (ROP):The properties of the fluid (density, viscosity, lubricity) can be carefully managed to maximize how fast the drill bit can penetrate the rock, saving significant time and money.
Corrosion Inhibition: Chemical additives can be included to protect the metal drill pipe and downhole equipment from corrosive elements like hydrogen sulfide (HS) gas or saltwater, preventing costly failures.
7. Environmental and Safety Enhancements
Shale Inhibition:Certain additives (e.g., salts, polymers) prevent water-sensitive shale formations from absorbing water from the fluid and swelling.Swelling shale can squeeze the drill pipe and cause the wellbore to become unstable.
Waste Management:Modern additives are designed to be more environmentally friendly.  Systems are engineered to allow for efficient separation of cuttings from the fluid at the surface, enabling recycling of the fluid and proper disposal of the waste.
