Product Description

PAM for drilling fluid

This product is synthesized by the polymerization  and Pam under the action of initiators. It is a linear organic polymer that is soluble in water and insoluble in most organic solvents. It has good thickening and flocculating properties. It can encapsulate rock cuttings, preventing them from dispersing into water-based drilling fluids. Through vibrating screens, the rock cuttings can be separated from the mud, achieving the purpose of removing harmful solid phases from the mud. PAM also has a good anti-clogging effect, significantly reducing the friction between the rotating drill pipe and the wellbore, and the friction of solid particles in the mud. This is manifested in reduced drilling torque and circulating pump pressure.PAM can also be used as a water treatment agent.

Main Functions

Applications in oil drilling and production:

(2) Viscosity regulation and rheological improvement: Increases mud viscosity and sand-carrying capacity.

(3) Leak plugging and sealing: Macromolecular chains enter formation pores to form a thin film.

(4) Strong inhibition (partially modified PAM): Combined with KPAN and hyperbranched PAM, it inhibits shale hydration.
