Polyacrylamide for drilling fluids is a water-soluble chain (linear) polymer formed by polymerization of acrylamide monomers. Soluble in water, insoluble in most organic solvents, with good flocculancy. It can wrap the cuttings, so that the cuttings are not easy to disperse into the water-based drilling fluid, and the cuttings can be separated from the mud through the vibrating screen to achieve the purpose of removing the harmful solid phase in the mud. Polyacrylamide also has a good anti-wear effect, which can significantly reduce the abrasion resistance between the rotating drill pipe and the borehole wall and the abrasion resistance of solid particles and solid particles in the mud, and reduce the drilling torque and circulating pump pressure in the drilling.
